We are pleased to announce the release of our high speed dial-up product. This product uses server side compression and cache technology to reduce the size of pages before they reach your computer and decrease the time it takes for you to view websites.
The software accelerates HTML, Javascript, JPEG, GIFS, BMPS, Text and Email. It does not accelerate streaming media, secure websites, file attachments, digital music and digital photos.
This makes your dial-up connection seem like you are surfing at up to 5x the speed of a typical 56k connection. This is the same type of software that NetZero and Earthlink use.
Our tests have proven that this isn't such a good thing. We had two of our dialup accounts try this for two months. Bolth accounts use the internet differently. They reported that though it was somewhat faster on some things, overall the general claims of Acceleration just were not there. This product is exactly the same as all the other accelerators offered by other services with a 5 times faster claim. Reality sets in when you realize that it is faster on TEXT only use, it ISN'T much faster on anything else. In fact our tests proved it to be about the same as a regular non accelerated account. THEREFORE although we offer it WE DON'T Recomend it. You can order it and try it for yourself for a month or so, but we will not have any hard feelings when you cancel it.
Why dosen't it work. It is our theory that because most browsers on the market use compression techniques and caching technology to speed up the browser, you already have the fastest possible dialup capability.
For true High Speed access you should use our Satellite service. IT REALLY IS FASTER WITH 1/2MBps (512kbps) DOWNLOAD SPEED.
